07 Sep A few reminders…
The beginning of the school year is a good time for us to remind you all about a few things that help the school day to run smoothly.
Parking
Please resist the temptation to park on the thick yellow “School – Keep Clear” lines printed on the road outside the playground. Please also, if you drive to school, could you not stop your vehicle in the road to collect or drop off children in front of the school.
Dogs
If you bring your dog with you when you are collecting or dropping off children then please could you make sure that they are kept a sensible distance away from the school gate. We love seeing your dogs at the beginning and end of the day but a significant minority of children are fearful of them.
Scooters
Please ask your children not to use their scooters in the playground – also please do not leave any scooters on school property over the course of the school day.
Nuts
We are a nut-free school. For the safety of our children who have severe nut allergies, please could ensure that packed lunches and any snacks you give your children in the school playground at the end of the day do not have any nuts in them.
Packed lunches
Please make sure that if your child has a packed lunch at school, that it is healthy and includes foods such as fruit or yoghurt for dessert. Please do not include sweets or chocolate. As a reminder, every child in Islington is entitled to a free school meal. Please speak to the office if you wish to change.
